GEANCO is a charity that we love to promote and support.  Please check out their website and see the great things they are doing in Nigeria.  Nigeria is special to my heart as is all of Africa.  God put a love for that continent in my heart at a young age age.  I feel very privileged that I had an opportunity to visit Nigeria back in 2000.

Our team heads to Nigeria for GEANCO's 5th surgical mission next week. I have intentionally posted vivid pictures…

Fires in Northern California

Fire Victims:
Ivan & Ivon Charities, Inc. a 501c3, wants to offer help.

Families should contact me to be adopted by a donor for help. I will need a picture of your family for the donor card that will be shown to many. If you are interested, please reply to this post or call or text me 951-334-1264. I live in Suisun and will be your liasion for items that are specific to your family’s needs.

I will need to know which shelter you are in and your city of residence. Please also tell me if your home can be occupied.

I will need to know how many are in your family (how many boys and/or girls, ages, and sizes of clothes and shoes). Please also tell me if you have pets (amount and type), Tell me if your family has allergies. Once I have all the information I need, I will then give your card to a donor who will contact you to see how they can meet your specific need.

God bless you all,

Pray for Puerto Rico

How can they survive?

The puertorriquenos need help!  They need water, food, and housing.  Thankfully, ships, planes with supplies, and people are on their way to help.  But what can we do?  A typical ordinary housewife can pray, she can donate as much as possible, but another way is to volunteer.  The people there need a helping hand.  If you are a volunteer and you can get there, your joy and positive voice will help make things a little better.

Pray for Mexico

Many people in the U.S. have friends and family in Mexico City and in Morelos.  I have been contacted by my cousin in San Francisco that he contacted our family members and it seems they are all safe.  However, many others are not okay.  If you need to contact someone there and cannot get a hold of them via a phone call, try texting them instead or use Facebook or Twitter to try and contact them.  Sometimes cell towers are overloaded to connect calls but most of the time a text will go through. This may be so because data is more reliable than voice.

There are many catastrophic events happening in the world right now and it would benefit all of us to have our affairs in order.  It would also be wise to have cash on hand, extra water, and non-perishable food. Also, try and meet with your family to formulate an emergency plan so you know what to do in case of an emergency.

If you need help, please contact us and we will try and guide you or help in any way we can.

Please Donate for Funeral Expenses

The Story
Michael Bucklein, the son of Kathy and Eric Bucklein, has passed away, in Indiana, of an accidental drug over-dose. Michael’s wishes were that he would be cremated if he died. His girlfriend, Candice, and her mother, as well as Michael’s parents are in Indiana at the hospital. I am his Aunt Julie in California and I am helping to make funeral arrangements. He may be able to be buried next to his beloved Grandfather in Newport Beach, CA. In lieu of flowers to the family, please give what you can ($10 to $1000) toward his burial arrangements. Flowers are very nice and comforting, but he had no life insurance, so burial funds are needed. Please do not contact the family right now. Send all inquiries to me, at Thank you and God Bless!

By the way, it makes us happy to know that 3 people have been matched with Michael’s organs, especially with his rare blood type (B-). His heart and liver will go to someone in New York and Ohio. They just found someone in Indianapolis who needs his lungs. Because of his donations, he is helping others live on.
