This organization is where the founder of Ivan & Ivon Charities first received her mandate to help others with education, clean water, malaria nets, and jobs for women in Afikpo, Nigeria. This non-profit is no longer active but they were for many, many years. The founder Grace Akpu, born and raised in Afikpo, was the beautiful person who gave Lilia a love for Africa when she took her to Nigeria. Lilia continues to work toward building water wells in the village to help that situation.

While in Afikpo, in 2000, a small team, including Lilia went to Afikpo for a month and worked alongside the chief and the community to assist in making a small contribution in helping the women become self-sufficient. Lilia’s dream is to go back to Afikpo and build a well. While the team was there, water from the polluted river was used for bathing. Unfortunately, the villagers use the water for everything which is why sickness is inevitable.
